Technical Writer

Words. Anyone can write them. We're looking for someone that can wield them. We​ know that good writing and awesome trainings for SW products are often not synonymous and we want to change that.

About the job

We’re on the hunt for a  Learning Content Specialist and Technical Writer that is passionate about delivering a great experience for customers and partners as they discover, use, and retain our product trainings and product information. 

We want you to acquire a deep understanding of our Insight platform and use this knowledge to craft clear, relevant communications that resonate with and respect the user.  

You will be designing both a stellar content strategy and information architecture and then developing it to scale on various related projects. You’ll also be testing and validating our existing content and finding ways to improve it

A big part of your assignments is to build curated learning paths and trainings for every user — from beginner to expert and everything in between.  Not everyone learns the same way, so you will be creating everything from: How-to-videos, interactive tutorials, Step-by-step guides, prepare course material for Instructor led trainings etc and interact with both partners, customers and external learning experts. 

This role actively collaborates with marketing, sales, development and support teams to make sure that all of our technical communications and trainings make it easy for our customers to get the most out of our products.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Develop product training curriculums
  • Understand the context for which the training should be delivered
  • Understand the different roles and their needs when specifying the training modules
  • Put requirements and research training delivery platform
  • Minimize the lifecycle cost for training
  • Research, design, and write customer-facing content, such as on-line manuals, short enhancement topics, graphical instructions, and online content
  • Work with development teams and SME's to understand software features and user experiences
  • Structuring, publishing, translation of content
  • Lifecycle mangement, versions management, smart-image management
  • Analytics of documentation usage 

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

  • Experience as a technical writer, especially in the software industry
  • Experience from SW development is a merit
  • Experience from creating learning content and training curriculums
  • Interest in guiding cross-functional documentation, information architecture projects, learning and training content projects
  • Understanding of core software concepts (e.g., source code management, code review, continuous integration, etc.)
  • Experience from project management
  • Experience delivering technical content (across multiple products) at a variety of levels to different audience levels via classroom (public, onsite), virtual classroom, and recorded formats (Not required)

As part of your application, we'd love to see an example of great documentation or trainings that you've created.

More about you

You probably hold a bachelor degree in a relevant subject or similar and you have at least a couple of years in depth experience from technical writing from another SW company.

As a person you enjoy sharing your skills with others and you are a great team-player. You are energized by the more difficult challenges and you are eager to learn new stuff every day. Your positive attitude and willingness to help others is highly appreciated by your teammates.
